McLaren MP4-12c

Guess what? McLaren is back! The F1 racing company that brought you the McLaren F1, formerly the fastest production car in the world in the 90’s is making a new supercar! It’s called the MP4-12c. The car will feature a carbon fibre chassis, and is powered by McLaren’s own 3.8-liter V8 twin-turbo engine producing over 600 bhp.

Word is that the MP4-12c will weigh only 1300 kg. This allows the car to crack an estimated naught to 60 in “under 3 seconds” and will reach speeds of over 200 mph. Now that’s fast.

I’ve got to say, that the car looks great. Not the best looking car in the world, but it is largely reminiscent of it’s ancestor. Though unlike the F1, the MP4-12c does not feature a central “three-seater” driving position. Rather the car uses conventional seating. Ultimately, if you’ve ever wanted to purchase one of the most historic cars in the world but couldn’t afford it due to it’s $2 million price tag, well, you’ve got a chance now.
