The end?

Hey guys. If anyone has been coming by lately, you might have noticed that this blog is rarely being updated. Very much so my fault as I’ve been very tardy and just have not had the inspiration to write much. Therefore, I’m calling an end to The Random Muses and moving on towards a new project.

This project will hopefully allow me to reach my aspirations in Journalism and also assist me to grow by leaps and bounds and perhaps find potential employers in the future. My new blog is located at:

You are welcome to join me and very welcome to follow me along. My new blog will be a bit more professional aimed at writing original and more newsy pieces. I may or may not be updating this blog from time to time, but it all depends on how it goes.

It has been two years of blogging (perhaps even a year or a year and a half with the slow updating, haha), but I think it is time for an end. It has been an amazing experience, a great lesson in writing, and definitely something I won’t forget. Thanks for coming to my blog, thank you for keeping up with the blog, thank you for reading, and thanks for all your support.

From the whole TRM team; Askar, Daniel, and Adrian, good-bye!

Well, now that I know where this earthquake has reached (All the way from Quebec and Ontario, to NY, Ohio, Michigan and Vermont), what was the size?

Edit: Claims on the magnitude of the earthquake are estimated between 5.5 and 5.7 on the Richter scale.

Edit#2: Confirmed at 5.5 magnitude (

The Richter Scale would estimate (Taken from Wikipedia):

5.0-5.9 Moderate Can cause major damage to poorly constructed buildings over small regions. At most slight damage to well-designed buildings. 800 per year

Anyone else feel the earthquake a minute ago around the Southern area of Ontario (GTA)?

Lasted about 10 seconds. Wasn’t that big, but was big enough to be felt. I’m interested in seeing how far this earthquake reached.

Edit: Earthquake felt all the way in Buffalo, Albany, and Pittsburgh!

Edit#2: Earthquake also felt in Montreal and Ottawa!

Edit#3: Felt near Lake Huron (Bruce County) and North Bay! Wow!

Edit#4: Reports of earthquake felt from Ontario to all the way in Michigan and Ohio!

Edit#5: Reaching all they way down to Vermont and Massachusetts?!

Video Footage of the Earthquake:

I’m feeling so under the weather since Sunday night. I had Wendy’s and their Premium Fish Fillet along with their fries. I think the fries really got to me.

I’ve been nauseated since then and threw up twice in the last 24 hours. The doctor says I have food poisoning, so hopefully I’ll get better soon. But now I’m feeling a fever coming on.

Did I mention I have a massive headache? Ugh. I hate being sick. Hope I get better sooooooooon. Also, a happy St. Patrick’s day to you all!

I can’t believe it’s been a month since I last wrote anything for the blog. My apologies to everyone! It wasn’t my intention to do so, it’s just that the new term at university has started and I’m quite busy coping with it all.

I have some good news though! On Monday evening I found out that I won two scholarships! One is from Westcast Industries Entrance Scholarship, and the other is the Laurier Brantford Toronto Award. I’ve got approximately $1700 which is all going towards my tuition. Wow, I’m so relieved to get these scholarships! I applied for them back in July/August and never got a response thinking that I didn’t win them, but the tides turn quickly.

It was a good end to January, and now it’s time that I patch up some relationships with people. There’s some animosity between myself and a select few, and hopefully I can get that fixed sometime soon. I’m also in the need of a haircut.

Again, sorry I haven’t posted in so long! Hopefully I’ll have a weekly post here started now! Thanks for dropping by, hope the New Year is going great for everyone!

Hello 2010!

2009 is officially past us. A double digit decade is now upon us and with that, resolutions! What’s your resolution? My resolution is to be a better person. Simple enough =)

Two big things are happening this year! The Winter Olympics and the FIFA World Cup! Oh man, this year is going to be exciting!

A Happy New Year to everyone! Have a safe holiday!
