SCHOOL

Navy blue sky,
Golden orange sun,

The trees fluttering in the morning air,
Students dressed in white uniform line up,

Ready to sing their country’s national anthem,
Ready for another day of school,

A few students play their childhood,
Capturing ladybugs,

Stuffing their pockets with red and black insects,
Collecting them,

Closed gates,
Strict rulers,

It’s break-time before classes start,
Six mischievous children plot,

Carefree fun for the five of them,
Not knowing that their lives would change,

First one,
Then the second,

The memory only lies with the second,
Only remembering that one morning,

The few names of friends,
And the ladybugs.

Did you know that ladybugs are a symbol of trust and joy? Where there is genuine joy there can be no fear. They’re reminders to not worry and to live life to the fullest every day.

I had absolutely no idea! Wow, that makes this memory even more memorable.
I absolutely love the ladybug, it is the one insect I truly love and would never kill.
