Graduation Time; Come On!

About two days ago was my official graduation.

I’ve graduated like months ago really, but it was official with the diploma etc. on Friday. I didn’t really care about getting the diploma or anything or even meeting my friends, which was something I was looking forward to. What struck me after all the formalities and hello’s and the rest was some weirdly deep rooted feeling. It was a feeling described best as, I “grew” up; again. Of course rather than physically, mentally I did.

The feeling told me that my future is still coming, and that I still have to strive for it. From now, it only gets harder and it will never get easier. My friends will no longer always be by my side, my family won’t be either; this time it’s all me and it’s only going to be me. Either I am prepared to face my future or I am fated to fall six feet below the surface.

It was a very happy moment for me in my life. It hasn’t been the first graduation in my time, but it has been the first of many, that I’ve ever felt a sort of sadness and ability to face challenges with courage. It is still something I am reminiscing about. Still trying to understand the feeling more than I can and describe it words. It might just be something only that I know; a feeling that only an individual can know and the rest of the world is oblivious to it.

America… Communist?

Just a quickie here.

So on Friday I believe, America officially went Communist. Or Marxist at the least. We all heard about the breakdown with the Lehman Brothers. At the brink of another depression… Would be terrible; not just for America but Canada as well. Since Canada just HAS to be so interwined with America. Apparently America took the Socialist ideal of trying to help out and preventing other banks and corporations from meeting the same fate the Lehman Brothers did by giving money!

The most Capatalist country in the world, with the whole belief in the “Free” Market attempts to give money to help others? And by helping these banks etc. America winds itself deeper into debt. Go New Jersey with the debt toll sign. $11.3 trillion in debt! Wow. Well, all in all a good move to prevent a future depression, or at least prolong it. But I just thought I’d pick on the fact that America took a Karl Marx Socialist move to help itself.

So I got a new job. Go me. At a place I really seem to hate, well not hate, just not as enjoyable.

Therefore I am using this post to exclaim that with work, school, and my constant laziness, I am unable to update this blog as much as I would like to.

So I will try to periodically have a new post every week if not more. Sorry =/

Canadian Election

Why?! Why do we need to have one? Why are all politicians so redundant about everything?

Well… A while ago Harper dissolved parliament and called an election… Completely going against what he said a few years ago (that he wouldn’t). Really, what do the Conservatives think to accomplish? They are a minority government, and will remain a minority government. This is a completely unecessary election only good for wasting money. Tax payer money. Harper is a complete Bush lackey; it would be nice if he didn’t win, but he will, but my vote isn’t going to him =)

No way do I want Stephane Dion to win either. He’s too much of a whack relying on his carbon tax idea. I don’t it. I’m all about the environment, of course. But how is the carbon tax going to significantly help? It causes smaller companies to lose more money and the larger corporate companies will just pay off the tax. Why give more money to the government when they have billions in store; money that belongs to us; the people. Not to some politicians and their private expenditures.

May May May May… Oh how you are not in the month May.
Oh look, it’s the Green Party leader. Getting your fair  share of sexism today? Really, to accuse the other party leaders of sexism just because they’re all males is idiotic. Perhaps you should have thought a bit that your party is greatly insignificant compared to the major two. The Green Party is too green. It’s way too “healthy” for my liking. I like a little freedom and yes, it’s good for the environment, but the other parties are stepping up and taking a role on the environment. The Green Party just doesn’t cut it with the election.

The Bloc Quebecois… I’m not even going to go there.

Separatism is bad.

NDP! The New Democratic Party of Canada. Ah, there’s the party I want to vote for. Great ideals, sticking up for the little guy, being mean to corporate bastards. And hey, who wouldn’t want an old guy that isn’t afraid of the camera or doesn’t have a heavy French accent to be the PM? I don’t. Surprise? Yeah, same here. I’m all for the NDP, I will be voting for them, but I don’t want Jack Layton to be PM. He just doesn’t seem like the person to take that position; I mean he seems like a nice guy and all. He even went to Quebec to get votes when no one else did!

That’s my take on the election. I’d go for NDP, they’re are a good party and their influence in the Parliament will be to good favour. Again, what a waste of an election.

P.S.: Canada needs more televised debates? TWO?! That is no where close to enough!

Err… They just sided with the Liberals in the Canadian election. I believe my parents just became my political enemies. Unfortunately they overwhelm me =(

Anyways, post on the Canadian election coming up soon. Too much homework makes a crappy blogger crappier. Not to mention I’m off to Kingston again!

Voting Again?!

My neighbour and I were ha ving a conversation the other day about voting. About Pakistani, American, and Canadian politics and the elections. One thing from that conversation I have to mention is that people are not voting seriously. Say – let’s go into Canadian politics. For example, there are three parties, the Liberals, Conservatives, and the Green Party.

Normally, many people would love to vote for the Green Party as they want to be healthy and the beliefs are great. But the people fear that if they vote for the Green Party and the Conservatives win, their vote is wasted. Why? Because such individuals do not like the Conservatives and their views and they think they are better off with the Liberals. Which in turn makes them vote Liberal.

PEOPLE! In any election, your vote is never wasted! Stick to your beliefs and they will follow through. If we decide to vote for such party because we want them and they follow our beliefs, then vote for them. This is because other people think the same; and who knows? That party just might win!!

Lame People

Oh dear Lord… There is a curse or something on me; I swear. For some reason I always end up with people who love pissing me off. Especially this one person who is a perfect example of most people (I won’t give out the name). She apparently thinks so big of herself every time.

And… she’s my ex-girlfriend so I can see why she loves pissing me off. At times she’ll act like she’s the only person in the world that has ever been hurt. At other times she will act like only she knows what a friend is. She rants to me everyday and tries to nose into my life.

She really is an insecure idiotic buffoon. I’m sorry that I’m insulting her so much (more to follow), but I want to rant somewhere rather than in her face. I mean, she’s just such a moraless loner that it makes me pity her (and she’s emo…). There are so many people out there in worse situations yet she wants to make herself the highlight of everything.

I mean who the Hell randomly calls you and starts laughing at you because you decided to start university a year later than everyone else in your graduate class? That’s just plain rude. And for her information, when I’m done with university, at least I won’t have a large loan to pay off because I’m taking the year to work (seeing as I already got offers from major universities in Canada while she’s off at a small pathetic one). She even has the nerve to talk bad about my friends and call me of all people a low life.

She’s not the only person with such a rancid personality. I’m very kind with people and don’t like making anyone angry and treat them with respect if I get it in turn. Completely the opposite if I don’t get respect. It just angers me that there’s people who have the worst kind of egos and have no human decency at all.

Most of all; I think people need to understand what a joke is. I joke around a lot, a little too much I guess but I make it quite obvious and that you have to be a retard to not notice. Talking face-to-face it’s pretty easy to know I’m joking but I guess it gets harder on the Internet. But honestly, even on the Internet, I use SO much sarcasm that it is downright obvious to know I’m joking. And people all of a sudden get defensive and angry etc. Chill pl0x. The Internet really is serious business. I just wish people in the world were smarter.

I’m sort of getting lost right now… I was angrier when I began this post and now I’m calm and want to watch the next episode of Gantz because it’s just so awesome =P
